I’m constantly blown away about how like-minded my clients are - since we are all mothers, there is so much to talk about! Every booked session includes a friendly chat prior to our photoshoot so that it is completely tailor-made for you. I want to capture special moments that are unique for every child… so questions of what they like or what milestone are they currently going through will be asked. This way, I can not only capture the moment but also the personality of the child. I try to build a friendship prior to the shoot so that you are as relaxed as possible and excited for our session.

What should I wear?… Is the most asked question I get from my clients. I suggest you wear whatever you feel most confident and comfortable in! I would love to help style our session and I can be there for you as much or as little as you want me to be. I have collected over thirty dresses for mums - most being flexible in sizing from pregnancy to postpartum and beyond. I currently dress about 70% of my clients. The kids’ wardrobe is constantly growing too. I have a styling guide to help you to bring it together.

The first thing to remember when it comes to picking a location for your family session is figuring out the vibe you want. When you know the style you want, that makes it easier to narrow down your location choices. My advice to you is pick something your children will enjoy. The more excited they are by their surroundings, the happier they will be. The key is finding somewhere that is interesting enough to keep them happy. I have a list of tried and tested locations and I’m always happy to advice.

I will not pose you and you won’t hear me asking you to say cheese. Instead, I will give you heaps of direction. We want the images to feel natural but the process of getting there is with a lot of gentle direction so you don’t feel lost or awkward. All you have to do is relax and enjoy being with people that you love the most in the world.
