Getting Ready at Bashall Barn and at Home
Their day started with excitement and big smiles. Brecon got ready at home with his groomsmen, keeping things relaxed and light-hearted - perfect for natural, documentary-style photos.
Meanwhile, Anna made the most of Bashall Barn’s beautiful bridal preparation space on site. It’s such a bright, welcoming place for getting ready photos, with plenty of room for hair, makeup and those emotional moments with family.

An Outdoor-Inspired Ceremony on the Terrace
Anna had always dreamed of saying “I do” outside at Bashall Barn. But this is Lancashire and the weather didn’t play along!
Luckily, Bashall Barn’s amazing team opened the covered terrace for them. It’s one of the venue’s best features - feeling airy and open even in the rain. The terrace has those Ribble Valley views that make Bashall Barn weddings so special.
It created a really intimate, romantic setting for their vows, with just the right mix of rustic barn charm and countryside backdrop.
Bashall Barn Couple Portraits in the Ribble Valley
One of my favourite parts of the day was sneaking away with Anna & Brecon for about 15 minutes for couple portraits.
Bashall Barn is a dream for a Lancashire wedding photographer. Fields, rustic buildings, big open skies. Even with the moody weather, we made the most of every spot for relaxed, fun portraits full of laughter (which they were so good at).
It’s always my goal to keep these sessions short and enjoyable, so couples can spend more time with guests while still getting beautiful, natural photos.
Fun, Candid Moments – Champagne Shots & Laughter
Anna & Brecon were all about the fun and the real moments. After the ceremony, they asked for a champagne shot - literally spraying and celebrating together, making for such a brilliant set of photos.
Their day was full of real laughter, hugs, and genuine emotion. It’s exactly what I love to capture as a documentary wedding photographer in Cheshire and Lancashire.
A Party to Remember with Girl on Sax
When Bashall Barn turned into a proper party venue.
One of the biggest highlights? @girl_on_sax absolutely owning the evening entertainment. The energy on the dance floor was incredible! Guests were dancing non-stop and having the best time.
Anna also shared a really lovely first dance with her dad, which was such a touching moment for everyone watching. Afterwards, she danced with her new husband and the whole room cheered them on before the party really kicked off.
