KATY and RIC's MARCH wedding at COLSHAW HALL, Cheshire
Despite a very wet and chilly day in March, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Katy and Ric’s stunning wedding at the breathtaking Colshaw Hall in Cheshire. Their day began with a heartfelt Catholic ceremony at St. Albans Church in Macclesfield, setting the tone for a day full of love and celebration.
From the moment we arrived at Colshaw Hall, the staff were simply outstanding. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect – even down to carefully pinning the buttonhole flowers onto the jackets of the Groomsmen. Their warmth and attention to detail made everything flow seamlessly, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making the day special.
As a Cheshire wedding photographer, I’ve encountered my fair share of unpredictable weather, but this one was quite memorable! With plenty of rain and even hailstorms, we had to make some adjustments. Sadly, the confetti shots had to be skipped, and we managed to squeeze in just a few group photos by the door. Additionally, Katy and Ric chose to forgo couple portraits, which was completely understandable given the weather conditions. I really felt for them, especially knowing how much time and thought they’d put into every detail, from the beautiful florals to the overall planning.
However, the incredible spirit of the day truly shone through. Katy and Ric's DJ, Adam, was an absolute star! He kept the energy high all night long, filling the dance floor with great music, inflatable guitars, saxophones, and hats! Although the weather may have been challenging, the day was filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Colshaw Hall was the perfect backdrop for such a beautiful celebration, and their staff made sure it was a day to remember. As a Colshaw Hall photographer, I always enjoy working at this stunning venue, and this wedding, despite the rain, was no exception!
