A Summer Wedding at The Oak Tree of Peover
From the moment I arrived, Jo and Andy’s wedding had this brilliant, energetic feel that stayed with the day from start to finish. Andy got ready at home with the boys and the atmosphere was lively, full of laughter and exactly how a wedding morning should feel. Then I made my way to Jo’s mum’s house, where Jo was getting ready. She looked absolutely beautiful in her dress: elegant, fitted and with delicate floral details that suited her perfectly. Her veil moved softly in the breeze all day and added that romantic, effortless look to her portraits. For privacy, I have not included any images taken at their homes, as I always respect my couples’ personal spaces.

Alderley Edge Church Ceremony
Their ceremony took place at Alderley Edge Church. Although photography inside was limited (thank you, vicars!), we still captured the moments that matter most. The walk down the isle, the first kiss, their walk out as husband and wife, the kiss at the church doors and the pure excitement on their faces when they stepped outside.
Arriving at the Oak Tree of Peover
When we arrived at the Oak Tree of Peover, everything clicked into place. This venue is genuinely one of my favourites. It has beautiful natural light, rustic beams and stunning grounds. The entrance made the perfect spot for relaxed, easy family portraits without taking too much time away from the celebrations.
Couple Portraits Around the Grounds
Jo and Andy’s couple portraits took around 20 to 25 minutes as we wandered around the gardens and near the pond. Even with the cloudy sky, the greenery looked incredible. Both of them have such warm and energetic personalities, which made photographing them so much fun. There was a lot of laughter, movement and a few playful moments that were completely them.
A Lively Reception Full of Personality
The reception was lively. Their friends brought an amazing amount of energy and kept the atmosphere buzzing. They had mini golf set up which guests absolutely loved and it added such a fun twist to the day. The speeches were a great mix of heartfelt moments from Andy and Jo’s dad balanced with plenty of humour from the groom and his friends. After the speeches, Jo put on her personalised bridal bib so she could enjoy her food without worrying about her dress. It was hilarious and so perfectly her.
A First Dance Filled With Warmth
As evening approached, the Oak Tree took on that cosy, golden glow it does so well. Their first dance was incredibly sweet, surrounded by bubbles and the biggest smiles. You can feel the atmosphere in every photo. Their friends brought all the energy and Jo and Andy were right in the centre of it all. These images always end up being some of my favourites. Real, unposed, full of movement and full of life.
Jo and Andy, thank you again for having me. Your day was beautiful from beginning to end. The Oak Tree of Peover is always a pleasure to photograph and your wedding reminded me exactly why.

The team there are incredibly friendly, attentive and genuinely committed to giving their couples the best possible experience. They stay present and helpful without ever being intrusive, and everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
As a photographer visiting venues across Cheshire, the Oak Tree really stands out. The space is filled with natural light, the grounds are beautiful all year round, and the whole venue has that wonderful mix of rustic character and elegance. It’s a place that feels relaxed, warm and personal, and the staff do everything they can to make sure the day reflects the couple, not the venue.
